Island aims to empower enterprises and their people by delivering secure, seamless, and inclusive digital experiences at work through the Island Enterprise Browser.
Accessibility is at the core of our approach, ensuring that all users, regardless of ability, can engage with the tools they need to make the largest impact possible in their individual roles. By integrating security, visibility, and governance directly into the browser, we create work environments where organizations can confidently serve diverse user bases without compromise. We believe that everyone should have equal access to business-critical technologies, enabling enterprises to drive innovation while maintaining a secure, inclusive workspace. Simply put, ensuring accessibility is the right thing to do — and we intend to be a leader in this space.
Island measures against international standards when ensuring the accessibility of its products, technologies, services, and websites. To that end, Island conducts periodic reviews with the support of market leading advisors to audit and assess our technology against the applicable accessibility laws and policies of our customers’ jurisdictions. These audits have historically included, without limitation, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a document that contains a list of requirements needed for a product to conform to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The template format allows vendors to state their products' conformance to Section 508, requirement by requirement.
Following each of Island’s periodic audits, a VPAT is created to document any variance from compliance. As a result, Island has adopted a roadmap to address each VPAT-documented variance and is committed using ongoing efforts to help ensure compliance.
By sitting at the forefront of the future of work, Island welcomes and receives continuous feedback from customers, partners, prospects, the press, industry analysts, and other stakeholders, and organizations.
Accessibility feedback can be general or specific. By providing details such as the date, name of the webpage, product, service or application involved will make it easier for us to understand your concerns and work to find a solution. To ensure that the feedback is promptly heard and considered, Island has appointed an Accessibility Leader, who receives, reviews, and responds to all feedback.
